Hotel Sarowar is a 40-year-old vision blending contemporary Nepalese architecture with modern style. The hotel is designed based on climate-responsive principles (green concept).
Tourists started traveling to Pokhara from the 1960s. Pandit Narayan Dutta Pahari & Mrs. Khageshwori Pahari provided camping spaces for the travelers.
Eight roomed Hotel Sarowar officially started providing service to the travelers. The hotel provided bed and breakfast service, and had attached bathroom with hot and cold water facility, this was very rare in a hotel in Pokhara in the 1980s.
A vision of a five star Hotel Sarowar with a revolving restaurant at the roof top was made.
A meticulously designed eco-friendly and upscale hotel opened to service in the end of 2018. The hotel kept its original name - "Hotel Sarowar".
